Jamie C. Jabouri, CPA, CITP, CISA, is the President and a shareholder of Schowalter & Jabouri, P.C., one of the top 20 public accounting firms in St. Louis, Missouri.
In her role as client service champion, Ms. Jabouri brings over 20 years of experience to her clients and teams. Her breadth of experience in information technology (IT), internal and external audit shapes her unique and thorough perspective to addressing risk and managing engagements. Ms. Jabouri is experienced in leading internal and external audit engagements for public and private companies, as well as not-for-profit and governmental organizations and has worked with clients ranging from small, local organizations to large, multinational corporations.
Ms. Jabouri works with the attest and advisory and risk management teams at Schowalter & Jabouri, P.C. where she provides team oriented, value-added audit, compliance, assessment and strategy services to clients. She regularly leads special projects including agreed upon procedures, internal controls analysis, compliance requirements and a variety of information technology and cyber security work.
Ms. Jabouri’s leadership responsibilities at the firm include Firm Strategy, Controllership Functions, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development initiatives, Information Technology, and other various operational and strategic matters.
Ms. Jabouri is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MOCPA), and the Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Prior to being employed at Schowalter & Jabouri, P.C., Ms. Jabouri spent over four years at a “Big Four” international accounting firm as a member of the technology risk services team focused on IT and IT Security audit, compliance, assessment and strategy engagements.
Ms. Jabouri is a paid speaker, speaking and training during the past 12 years to a broad spectrum of organizations, including the AICPA, the MOCPA, the Illinois Association of School Board Officials (ILASBO), Missouri Association of School Board Officials (MOASBO) and various governing boards on topics including internal control, information technology risk and auditing, board oversight responsibilities and audit requirements.
Ms. Jabouri is a past recipient of the Missouri Society of CPA’s Emerging Leader Award. She has served on the AICPA’s State and Local Government Expert Panel, where she served with 14 other members from across the United States. Ms. Jabouri has served as the President of the Board of the John Cook School of Business (at Saint Louis University) Alumni Board, the John Cook School of Business Executive Advisory Board, the Board of Trustees of Saint Louis University and the advisory board of Cor Jesu Academy. She has served on a wide variety of other community and professional societies, boards and groups.
Currently, she is a Board Member of the St. Louis Science Center and a member of the Saint Louis Forum. Ms. Jabouri previously served on the Board for Youth In Need, as a past Audit Committee Chair and Executive Committee Board member.
Ms. Jabouri graduated Magna Cum Laude from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Accounting and Management Information Systems.
